As a graphic artist I like to design my own custom images to promote my blog articles and showcase some of my design work on Facebook. Like most graphic artists I take pride in my work and go to

In my experience, though, I have never had sharp pictures when the IS function is turned on and I’m using a tripod. This is also true when I’m shooting on safari and my support is a beanbag. I lost some great shots of lion cubs nestled in a gnarled tree because I assumed the beanbag would be similar to handholding the camera. I was wrong. My images were unsharp until I turned the IS off.

11/08/2015 · For example, my 1716×1080 images are rendered fine in Photos while 1631×1080 image (shown above) is not because 1631 is an odd number. This odd-is-blurry, even-is-sharp pattern is observed throughout my samples. And when I tweaked the above image slightly in Lightroom to change the resolution to 1630×1080, it looks fine in Photos.
30/01/2012 · Shooting at f/1.8 isn’t going to give you the best quality image. It’s hard to tell on my phone but it looks like you missed focus. Lenses don’t perform their best wide open – they can be a little soft especially if you miss focus. With such a shallow DOF it’s not hard to miss focus either. ISO 400 has nothing to do with lack of sharpness IMO since with the d7000 that is a really low ISO
